Since his debut in 2017, Ruben has released 5 singles independently through his own label, Young and Lucky. His efforts have earned him over five million streams, and a place on stage as direct support for international artists such as The Chainsmokers, Jarreau Vandal, Nelly, Akon, Classified, Langston Francis and Jocelyn Alice. 

His most recent single, "Subtle Savage" ft Terrell Morris is a Toronto anthem - produced by Losh (ToBi, Allan Rayman) embodying the future soul bounce and emotional performance that sets Ruben apart. Along with "Golden Hell", which was released in front of 350 fans at a one of a kind release party in Calgary in collaboration with the iconic cognac brand, Remy Martin, and "Running For You", produced by Grammy Nominee, Lord Quest, Ruben's newest releases have been in steady rotation on radio (Stingray Music's R&B/Soul Channel, Toronto's G987 FM) and was featured by Jamz Supernova on BBC Radio1 Extra. 

In 2018, Ruben was nominated for Urban Artist of The Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards for his single, “Bad Habits” (produced by JUNO winner Classifed), which was also named one of the “Best Canadian Songs” by Complex’s Northern Touch List.
